Somewhere-
over-the-Rainbow-in-the-Lake-District of England. I don’t know why but that little sign makes me very happy, as if I am standing there. (image stevecarter.com)
This MUST be the world’s smallest inhabited island. There is one red house on this little piece of land in Newquay (a harbour town in Cornwall, England) and it is only connected to the mainland by that tiny bridge. Remember the nutter that tried to invade Sark? (post from 26 October) This is the sort of Island he would go after too! And he would send the fellow living there a telegram a week ahead of time informing him of his dastardly plans. (bigaldavies on flickr)
